This message is to all the invisible people of the world. For the most part, this is the cry of most of my clients. They are feeling alone, abandoned, unheard, uncared for, unloved…the list goes on. They are basically not on anyone’s radar screen. This is a really tough place to be. It is so tough that it has the potential of causing great harm for the future.
“If I faded away I don’t think anyone would notice, maybe they would even be relieved,” seems to be the typical mindset of a person trapped in an invisible world. Feeling like one doesn’t have power to invoke change in their own lives much less those around them is very disconcerting.
Where do you start when your life becomes numbed with invisibility? The beginning place may sound odd. It is in pursuing the question of “how does God see you?” that the answers come. I was asked that question once. My answer: “He doesn’t see me at all! At most I am a gnat on His giant radar screen.” “Well, this is where your journey begins,” was the wise answer I received.
Unless we know who and whose we are, we will never make progress in our travels to being known. The enemy may send us counterfeit ways to be seen for awhile, but in the end it will lead to death.
Knowing God sees us, accepts us, loves us, adores us, pursues us and has intentions for us…this is the starting place to walking out of the land of “invisible.”
